Professional Introduction

In ITEC class this semester, we were talking about how to introduce ourselves to a potential hiring HR person, or anyone who can help you professionally. A quick intro that not only will provide my intention as a professional but also a little bit about myself. Here's what I came up with in class:

"Hi I’m Peter Chow. I am a business student specialized in the IT sector, and am looking to kick-start my career in the ever expanding field of Information Technology. I’m conversant, reliable, and raring to go. I’m well traveled and am multi-lingual. I’m also active in my local community. While I’m a business major, I’m also familiar with computer programming such as C++. I’m thrilled to be a part of the IT profession and am hoping to be in a position that will take me from the sideline and onto the playing field. You can find me on myspace, facebook, and LinkedIn. My friends call me the Emperor."

I wrote the above with the intention to entice whoever I am speaking with to continue to have a conversation with me.

Superman - Persuasive/Propaganda Essay

I wrote this paper last semester when I had to retake a LIT 101 class when I transferred school. I was a super senior in a class full of freshmen. We were suppose to write either a persuasive or a propaganda essay on any topic we want to write about. I decided to write a speech from the point of view of Superman's arch nemesis. You can decide whether I wrote a persuasive or a propaganda piece.

Research, Creative, Awesome Papers

While I take a break from writing this incredibly exhausting paper, and look through previous papers I've done in the past for class on the computer, I realize I wrote about some pretty awesome subjects.

So for this blog I'm going to post previous papers I've wrote that I felt warrant saving. Papers, poems, little notes I wrote to myself, anything that I've written. A little time capsule of my own writing that I can come back when I get bored to check out.

I think I'm gonna use google docs for most of the large papers, and just post links with maybe blurbs about the paper for the blog. The smaller stuff I'll just cut and paste into the blog =].

Gotta go gbck to the paper! Come back tomorrow! I'll post the first paper then!
